Seven Executives Join the Nearly 90 Members of LA Sports Council's Board


Los Angeles (January 20) - The LA Sports Council, the premier sports trade association in the Los Angeles region, is pleased to welcome seven LA-based sports executives to its Board of Directors. The new members are joining nearly 90 other board members, which are represented by prominent sports industry leaders from teams, leagues, venues, annual events and businesses. The seven new individuals were voted on during the LA Sports Council’s board meetings in both October 2021 and January 2022. 


New board members include CEO of CODE FOUR Kevin Elliott, CEO & President of AAA Flag & Banner Craig Furst, General Manager of LA Giltinis Adam Freier, CEO of Teqball USA and President of the US National Teqball Federation Ajay Nwosu, President of California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Thomas A. Parham, PhD, Amazon Web Services Global Partner Lead Gregoire Rouyer, and Founder & Executive Director of Baseball For All Justine Siegal, PhD.


“We are thrilled to add this incredible group of executives and leaders to our Board,” said David Siegel, President of the LA Sports Council. “These individuals span a wide spectrum of businesses and organizations that touch different facets of the sports industry, which aligns with our goal of being a driver of change as well as a resource for the LA Sports community.”


Incoming Board Member Bios:


Kevin Elliott, CEO, CODE FOUR - Kevin founded CODE FOUR in 2007, growing it to an award-winning creative agency and design laboratory with the full technical abilities of a production house and fabrication shop. CODE FOUR delivers innovative services and products to organizations such as The Chargers, Major League Soccer and The Galaxy, The Irvine Company and many others. Born and raised in Huntington Beach, Elliott continues to live in the beach town with his wife Jane. 

 

Craig Furst, CEO & President, AAA Flag & Banner - Craig has worked in the printing industry nearly his entire life as his father founded AAA Flag & Banner in 1971. After graduating from Pepperdine University in 1996, Craig went straight to work on a full-time basis and has been in leadership ever since. Through the years and under Craig’s leadership, AAA has continued to evolve and adapt to serve clients with relevant, current, and innovative solutions and continues to do so today.   

 

Adam Freier, General Manager, LA Giltinis - Adam was named General Manager of the LA Giltinis in October 2020 to lead the team toward its maiden Major League Rugby season, which kicked off in March 2021. Adam is a former Australian Rugby Executive and former Wallaby. He brings a world-class skill set, having played a significant role in Australian Rugby across Marketing, Digital, and Media/Communications, as well as a 15-year professional playing career.

 

Ajay Nwosu, CEO, Teqball USA & President, The US National Teqball Federation - As the CEO of Teqball USA, Ajay has delivered substantial growth as the sport has gained momentum across the USA and is currently played in 118 countries on a global level with organized events, teams and leagues. Ajay is currently leading their bid to become an Olympic medal sport for the Los Angeles 2028 games. Ajay earned his BA in Business and Marketing as a student athlete at the prestigious Coventry University in England, later he moved to the U.S. to pursue a professional soccer career.

 

Thomas A. Parham, PhD, President, California State University,  Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) - Dr. Parham is the 11th president of CSUDH, a highly diverse, metropolitan university primarily serving the South Central and South Bay areas of Los Angeles County. In 2020, Dr. Parham was presented with the City of Los Angeles Hall of Fame award for “Outstanding Achievement in Education.” Dr. Parham resides in the Southern California area with his wife Davida. 

 

Gregoire Rouyer, Global Partner Lead, Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Gregoire joined Amazon Web Services as the Global Partner Lead, Broadcast, in October 2021. Prior to this, he was the VP of Sales at Chyron, a developer of broadcast graphics solutions. He spent more than a decade working with major broadcasters and media producers in the U.S., Europe and Latin America to enable them to adopt new technologies. He moved from Paris to Los Angeles in 2013, and holds a MBA from UCLA and a Masters of Engineering from Supelec (France).

 

Justine Siegal, PhD, Founder & Executive Director, Baseball For All - Justine is the first woman to coach in Major League Baseball (Instructional League, Oakland Athletics, 2015) and first to throw batting practice to an MLB team (Cleveland Guardians, 2011). She founded the national nonprofit, Baseball For All, to build gender equity in baseball by providing girls opportunities to play, coach, and lead in baseball. Justine is a Women’s Sports Museum inductee and an espnW Everyday Hero. She earned her PhD in Sport Psychology at Springfield College (MA).
