2022 Economic Impact of Sports in Los Angeles

LA Sports Council has commissioned the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) to produce a comprehensive report on how the sports industry financially impacts our community on an annual basis.
‍
This is the only report of its kind. The findings will be announced at the LA Sports Innovation Conference each year and will benchmark how the industry evolves over time. It will be especially interesting to see the numbers during the run up to, and through the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

About Startup Showdown

In 2022, the LA Sports Innovation Conference will debut a startup pitch competition in partnership with Panoramic Ventures. Startup Showdown will offer early-stage startups the chance to pitch investors and increase their visibility among an expanded investor network.

What's in it for Startups?

From the hundreds of applications, 25 semifinalists will be selected to attend Mentor Day where startups will be paired with experienced founders and tech executives to help refine their pitch and gain valuable feedback.

Five finalists will be selected to compete on stage in front of a panel of guest investor judges for a chance to win $120,000 investment prize and join the Panoramic Ventures portfolio.

In addition to the investment, the winner of Startup Showdown will get access to a wide variety of resources and opportunities as a full fledged member of Panoramic Ventures’ portfolio, including a dedicated acceleration team that helps founders navigate the myriad challenges and hurdles that young startups need to overcome to succeed.
