Michaela Reynolds
Program Director, Ready, Set Gold!

Michaela joined the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games (SCCOG) to run and build Ready, Set, Gold! (RSG!) as Executive Director in August 2019. Her primary focus is the overall strategy and management of the RSG! programs, including program development, community partnerships, fundraising, implementation of the program and the relationships across all RSG! schools. RSG! partners Olympians and Paralympians with schools to inspire the next generation through sport. Under Michaela’s leadership, RSG! has launched impactful programming, including RSG! Virtual Program, a youth development initiative serving more than 15,000 youth today. As part of RSG!’s commitment to students in Southern California, the non-profit added a nutrition and Social and Emotion Learning (SEL) component. A product of Michaela’s vision and unwavering dedication, RSG! has expanded the program outside of LAUSD into 32 school districts across Southern California. Michaela also advocates that the amount of exercise kids get should not be determined by their income, nor should their dreams be defined by their zip codes.

Michaela’s earlier career included nearly three years as an Account Executive with the Los Angeles Dodgers. She generated revenue and planned events to drive stadium attendance. Additionally, she supported Women in Sports and Events (WISE), a leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports, by acting as a volunteer to lead their social media activities.

Michaela was surrounded by sports growing up; competitively skiing in the Winter and sailing in the Summer, with Fall and Spring dedicated to Lacrosse. She was a collegiate D1 athlete in the sport of sailing at College of Charleston. During this time, she represented her team in the NCAA’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee where she started the college’s largest clothing drive. In the first year 5,000 articles of clothing were donated as a result. With a degree in International Business from the College of Charleston, Michaela has a passion for equity, education and diversity.

While the pandemic has undoubtedly impacted all communities, urban communities have suffered disproportionately, resulting in Michaela enhancing RSG!’s programming to be part of the near-term solution. With a firm belief that RSG! Olympians and Paralympians have the power to positively impact life, Michaela’s journey continues to be full of inspiration and hope as she fights for young people to realize their dreams.

Michaela resides in Manhattan Beach with her fiancé, Ben.
