About THE PICO RIVERA SPORTS ARENA
The Pico Rivera Sports Arena is one of the largest Mexican-style "Rancho de Charro" (rodeo ring) facilities in the United States. It annually hosts more than a dozen shows featuring rodeo performers and other celebrities, often presented in combination with a traditional Mexican rodeo. Professional boxing, wrestling and American-style rodeos are also presented.
The venue seats 5,000 in an outdoor arena setting, with 4,300 permanent bench seats and 700 additional, temporary bleacher seats around a dirt surface in the center.
•Location and parking:
The Arena is located in the City of Pico Rivera, near the Whittier Narrows Dam, just west of the San Gabriel (605) Freeway. It can be accessed via the Peck Road exit. There are some 2,050 on-site parking spaces.
Elaine Hauser is the director of the facility and it is managed by Ralph Hauser, Jr. For information about facility use, please call (562) 695-0509.
The floor area of the arena is dirt, surrounded by the bleacher seating areas. There is field-level access for load-in.
There are four permanent concession stands.
