About Glove Stadium
The larger part of a unique, two-sport complex, Glover Stadium sits in Anaheim's La Palma Park. It is named for Richard M. Glover (1908-74), who served as football coach and athletic director at Anaheim Union High School beginning in 1931 and later became the Anaheim Unified School District's first athletic director.
The sister facility, Dee Field, seats 700 for baseball games. Built in the 1930s, it was re-named in 1986 for Dee Fee, a 49-year employee of the city's Parks, Recreation and Community Service Department.
Bench seating is available for 5,200 at Glover Stadium; 700 at Dee Field.
•Location and parking:
The facilities are located in La Palma Park in northern Orange County. It is bounded by Anaheim Boulevard in the north, Lemon Street on the east, La Palma Boulevard on the south and Harbor Boulevard on the west. It is roughly two miles east of the Golden State (5) Freeway; use the La Palma exit.
The park is owned and operated by the City of Anaheim. Contact Samantha Moss for inquiries regarding park use at (714) 765-5298 or by fax at (714) 765-5223.
Glover Stadium offers a regulation, natural-grass field for football. There is lighting for night play and support facilities nearby in the Martin Recreation Center. There is a small press box at the top of the northside grandstand.
There is limited on-site parking, but lots of street parking close-by, a ticket booth with three windows, permanent concessions and electronic scoreboards on both the football and baseball fields.
