USC Men Win Pac-10 Basketball Tournament
USC won its first ever Pac-10 Tournament title en route to a school record 3rd consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. Coming off a 65-55 semifinal upset of No. 15 UCLA, the Trojans defeated the No. 23 Arizona State Sun Devils 66-63 in the tournament final, at Staples Center (March 14).
USC Wins NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship
With a 4-1 victory over Ohio State in the final, the USC men’s tennis team wrapped up a series of upset wins to clinch the NCAA Championship at College Station, TX. It was the Trojans’ 17th NCAA team tennis title and 75th (and national best) men’s NCAA team title (May 19).
USC Wins NCAA Men’s Water Polo Championship
With a 7-6 win over UCLA, the USC Men’s Water Polo team claimed back-to-back national championships for the first time ever. The Trojans also became the first team to make five straight NCAA final appearances, as USC’s dominating senior class finished their careers as Trojans with a 100-7 overall record, at Princeton (December 6).
