Remy Hamilton's 29-yard field goal as time expired lifted the Avengers to a thrilling 50-47 victory over the defending ArenaBowl Champion Chicago Rush, at Staples Center (June 2).
Cumbie Sets Single-Season Passing Records
During the course of the 2007 regular season quarterback Sonny Cumbie set a pair of single-season team passing records with 378 completions for 4,370 yards. The completions record was broken in a game against Las Vegas and the yardage mark against Utah, both at Staples Center (June 17 and 23).

Avengers Record First Playoff Victory
The Avengers routed the Utah Blaze, 64-42, recording their first postseason victory in franchise history before a crowd of 13,066, at Staples Center (July 2).
