PEDROZA'S BAT, GLOVE KEEP TITANS' WORLD SERIES HOPES ALIVE
Outfielder Sergio Pedroza hits a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning and then makes a diving catch in the bottom half to save an 8-6 Cal State Fullerton victory over Missouri in an elimination game of an NCAA Baseball Regional Tournament at Goodwin Field. Pedroza’s homer erased a 6-5 deficit. With the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the inning, Pedroza made a head-first dive and catch of what would have been a game-winning 3-run double for the Tigers. Fullerton went on to beat Arizona twice to win the Regional and advance to the Super Regional, where it was eliminated by Arizona State, one win shy of a trip to Omaha (June 5).
