On Sept. 27 at Oakland, the Angels defeated the A's 4-3 to clinch their second consecutive AL West title. The Angels finished the season with 95-67 record to capture their first back-to-back titles and fifth division crown in club history. |

BARTOLO COLON WINS AL CY YOUNG AWARD
Bartolo Colon becomes the second Angel to be receive the American League Cy Young Award, joining Dean Chance (1964). Colon finishes the 2005 season with a 21-8 record, two complete games and a 3.48 ERA in 33 starts. His personal-best 21 wins leads the League (November 8). |
