About the Long Beach Marine Stadium |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Site of the 1932 Olympic rowing competition, the site is a favored venue
for rowing, boat racing and water skiing. Boats of less than 20 feet are
welcome and events are held year-round. The Long Beach Rowing Association,
Golden West Water Ski tour, International Jet Ski Association and others
have all held events there.
A California historical site, the Marine Stadium was the site of the 1968
U.S. Olympic rowing teams trials, the 1991 U.S. Olympic Festival rowing
competition and was proposed as the site for rowing and canoeing for the
Los Angeles bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.
