About Honda Center
One of the area's most elegant arenas, Honda Center opened on June 19, 1993, and immediately became an icon in Southern California sports circles. The facility is owned by the City of Anaheim and operated by Anaheim Arena Management, LLC. Nominated for "Arena of the Year" seven times by the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards, it features a striking granite exterior with giant green-glass archways and marble indoor concourses designed by Hellmuth, Obata + Kassebaum Architects.

It is the home of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, the annual John R. Wooden Classic college basketball games, and favorites such as Stars on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters and the Ringling Bros. and Barum & Bailey Circus. Since opening, it has also been the home field of NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's Western Regionals (1998, 2001, 2003) and teams such as the Anaheim Storm (lacrosse, 2004-05), Anaheim Bullfrogs (roller hockey, 1995-97), Splash (indoor soccer, 1994-97) and Piranhas (arena football, 1996-97). The arena has also hosted a myriad of world-class events such as the 2003 World Gymnastics Championships, the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials - Gymnastics, as well as the 2005 World Badminton Championships. It was also the proposed primary site for basketball in the Los Angeles bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.
