About the Grand Olympic Auditorium
One of Los Angeles's most durable facilities, the Grand Olympic was a major site for boxing and wrestling in Los Angeles for decades. It was heavily used as the boxing site for the 1932 Olympic Games from which it was named for many years thereafter as the "Olympic Auditorium."

Home to more than 100 championship boxing matches as well as professional wrestling and roller derby (home of the Los Angeles "Thunderbirds"), the Grand Olympic was completely refurbished in 1993 and now promotes boxing programs year-round. It's a familiar venue to filmgoers as it was featured in the "Rocky" movie series as well as "The Mike Tyson Story" and "The Don King Story."
