About the Glendale Civic Auditorium
Primarily used as an exhibition hall, the two-level Glendale Civic Auditorium has hosted numerous sports events in the past, including local and regional fencing events and dance sport competitions. Most frequently used for meetings and trade shows, it was completely renovated in 1963 and significantly upgraded in 1997.

Quick Facts
The basics:
The Auditorium has two floors with the upper hall serving as the main program area. There are 1,100 theater-type seats surrounding the 90 by 125-foot maple wood floor area, not including the stage area. On the 16,000 sq.ft. lower level, the layout features a sunken floor with a vinyl surface.

Location and parking:
The Auditorium is located at the corner of Mountain Street and Verdugo Road in the city of Glendale. It is just west of the Mountain Street exit off the Glendale (2) Freeway, and north of the Glendale Avenue exit off the Ventura (134) Freeway.

Management:
The Glendale Civic is managed by Lara Daylan. Please contact her at (818) 548-2787, by fax at (818) 543-0793 or at ldalyan@ci.glendale.ca.us.

Technical information:
Each floor comprises approximately 16,000 sq.ft with the upper hall providing a clear span of 11,925 sq.ft. in a 90 by 125-foot configuration. Load-in is accommodated through two seven-foot-square doors at the south side of the facility.

There are four dressing rooms ranging in size from 600 sq.ft. down to 100 sq.ft.

Spectator amenities include a ticket window at the main entrance and two additional portable booths, permanent concession stands on each level and three meeting rooms which could be used for administrative or hospitality functions (1,800, 1,500 and 700 square feet). There is an in-house public address system, but no scoreboards. There are approximately 1,000 parking spaces on adjacent surface lots and structures.
